Special Needs Photography

One of my biggest joys is working with people that have special needs, and making them look their best. I enjoy their company and, as a mother of someone with Down Syndrome, I am absolutely comfortable working with these types of special challenges. I also appreciate the value in the parents’ eyes of a good portrait of their beloved child, and I know the constant pain of getting photos that make you feel sad. Yes, it is more difficult to get a flattering portrait in this case, but it is also more rewarding.

I spent many summers photographing Mayo Special Needs Day Camp for Anne Arundel County. I've done events for Opportunity Builders, and portraits for my daughter's school, in addition to doing private photo sessions.
